5G Satellites in Space: Legal Webinar with Former Harvard Law Professor, July 14th @ 1pm EST

Writer's picture: grassrootsenvredgrassrootsenvred

As rich entrepreneurs carve up space for their own profit, the legal questions abound. Who has the authority to authorize the launch of tens of thousands of satellites? What are the legal implications of a collision, or a catastrophic series of collisions? How will this affect international relations? Are these activities permitted under international treaties? How are the treaties being enforced, or are they just being ignored?

Please join us for the answers to these and other legal questions being raised by the deployment of new wireless technologies.

This monthly series of legal seminars will be hosted by renowned international attorney Julian Gresser, twice Mitsubishi Visiting Professor at Harvard Law School and former visiting professor at MIT’s Program on Science, Technology, and Society. Mr. Gresser will be joined by prominent legal and technology experts to discuss these critical issues in depth.

The first webinar of the six-part series will take place Wednesday, July 14th at 1pm Eastern time, 10 am Pacific time. This series is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.

*Jointly sponsored by Americans for Responsible Technology and the Broadband International Legal Action Network.
